Please read the letter from Clinic Manager Judit Sedillos, below:
Fellow CVTSC Members and Friends of the Club,
Earlier this year I was contemplating ways I could help replenish funds after the flood damage and recovery (in addition to the excellent fundraising efforts already completed). At the same time, I was scrolling my social media feed and noticed that one of my favorite horsemanship authors was planning his clinic schedule and looking for additional US based hosts. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to stretch myself a little, give something back to the Club and community, and oh, have fun while doing both.
I am really pleased to invite you to join us for a three day horsemanship/problem solving clinic with Australian clinician and author, Ross Jacobs (https://www.goodhorsemanship.com.au/ ), on Sept 2-4. I know that our Club and Membership have a long standing history and continued interest in advancing good horsemanship practices that also transcends disciplines – as our recent clinic and event line up can attest. Avid readers of Eclectic Horseman (https://eclectic-horseman.com/ ) will recognize his name from articles published there (along with articles by the likes of Buck Brannaman, Ellen Eckstein, Bryan Neubert, Jec Ballou – just to name a few). I have been enjoying Ross’s essays and thought provoking long form social media posts, and am currently finishing his book “The Essence of Good Horsemanship”. If you, like me, enjoy stretching yourself and thinking about how we can be both fair and effective in working with horses – regardless of what discipline we practice – if you want to deepen your understanding of how horses see and experience things, and if you like to hear from a variety of experts instead of just following a single source – I hope you will come and join us over Labor Day weekend.
Best,
Judit
