Every year, the Carmel Valley Trail and Saddle Club is host to various horse shows and clinics. With an all-purpose club house, BBQ grounds and facilities, many private groups also rent the grounds for meetings, parties and other gatherings. Matt Durham attended farrier school prior to veterinary school. He graduated from the University of California, Davis in 1996, completing an internship at the Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center the following year. After a few years in practice, he completed a year-long fellowship in equine cardiology and ultrasound at New Bolton Center in Pennsylvania.
For the following 20 years, he practiced at Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic, concentrating on lameness and imaging, obtaining board certification in the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2015. Starting in 2022, Matt became the technical services veterinarian for Platinum Performance, a leading equine nutritional supplement manufacturer.
