With an all-purpose club house, BBQ grounds and facilities, many private groups also rent the grounds for meetings, parties and other gatherings. Western Playday

Please read the letter from Show Manager Ardith, below:

The Aug. Playday has been rescheduled for Sunday Sept. 10th. I hope this date is convenient for you all. The same schedule of classes and afternoon Ranch Riding Freestyle class are scheduled and our great judges are available and will be there too. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. The event information will be on the club calendar website and entries will remain open for those who have not registered yet. The Playday Top Hand buckles should be available then as well! Thanks so much for your patience and perseverance.

Large and Small Arenas.

  • Ranch Riding Musical Freestyle Class instead of games in the afternoon. Horse can be shown in hand or ridden. Bring your song, maneuvers and costume!
  • No food service on site.
  • DOG POLICY: No dogs are permitted on the T&SC grounds during a show or clinic. The Trail & Saddle Club is a horse facility, and the safety of horse and rider is our first priority. Thank you for your cooperation.

LETTER FROM ARDITH:

Hi All,

The Aug. 6th Western Playday entry form is open now. We have made a change for this last Playday of the 2023 series with the addition of a new Ranch Riding Freestyle class (instead of games) in the afternoon. The same class schedule (attached below) will be followed in the morning.

A Western Freestyle class is a mix of music, Ranch Riding techniques & maneuvers and includes the rider’s choreography to the song & costume they have chosen (although costumes are not strictly required I’ve attached a couple of costume picture examples to get you started ; ). Playday Novice riders will perform at a walk trot only and Intermediate+ riders at the walk, trot and lope. Riders will provide their song of choice to the music technician and each performance will include all 3 gaits with extensions, stops, turns, lead changes, backing up, etc. The Freestyle class will not be judged but everyone wins a prize for participating. Riders are encouraged to have fun with it! Please contact me if you have any questions.
